Asher Lane Proctor
Hi, I’m Asher Lane Proctor—a queer, neurodivergent writer, father, partner, and hillside homesteader learning to thrive at the intersections of identity, healing, and creativity. I’m the voice behind The Neuroblended Fam, and the founder of Roses and Rebellions Press, where I create coloring books, scrapbooking paper, and stories for people who’ve always lived a little outside the lines. I write memoir-style short stories rooted in real life—gritty and vulnerable, but always with a thread of joy and reclamation running through them. My debut collection, Peaks and Valleys, Kid, is a love letter to becoming: to queer fatherhood, to starting over, and to every version of myself that survived long enough to write it all down. When I’m not writing, you can usually find me working overnight at a rehab facility, chasing kids barefoot through the yard, cheering on my fiancée Rory (the Head of Vibes, Vehicle Repair & Herbaceous Wisdom), or sharing confessions from the driver’s seat on my morning commute. I believe in messy growth, chosen family, and building a life worth telling stories about.
